AOPA Moldova was founded by the aviation community from the Republic of Moldova in December 2014, when the general aviation sector has witnessed an accelerated development and required an urgent and appropriate support.
In June 2015 it was officially registered at the Ministry of Justice of Republic of Moldova and, with the help and support of our colleagues from AOPA Romania, it became the 75th IAOPA affiliated member by the end of 2015.
It is a growing and diverse organization of members with a wide range of aviation interests and backgrounds, providing assistance in the development and implementation of solutions aimed at protecting the rights of it’s members. AOPA Moldova also fights for preventing the embarrassing restrictions from the national authorities as well as protecting the rights and interests of its members, contributing to enhancing the safety of flight
The activities of AOPA Moldova also include private pilots training, private flights with private aircraft, private flights for leisure or tourism purposes, introductory flights, organization and participation at events aimed at promotion of aviation, etc.
Our Functions
HelpTo promote, support, represent and defend the interests of its members in General Aviation as well as to provide assistance and information to address all problems related to private flying activities.
PromoteTo promote the economy, safety and use of general aviation for personal transportation of the operator or owner as well as offer facilities for airport taxes and fees.
InformTo centralize the informational network from airports, navaids, meteorological information and other facilities which will be offered for use by General Aviation.
WorkTo cooperate with relevant government agencies to develop modern regulations and procedures for the interests of General Aviation and the country.
